Fall Family Hayride 2010

Ma and Pa had their annual hayride and bonfire at their farm in Southern IL this past weekend. Unfortunately, Chris and I were unable to go - he had to work and I was running an Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser that I had organized at work.
I deemed it best that Jack stay with my dad, but Grayson got to go with Meme and E-Pa. It looks like he had such a fun time! And, yes, he has had his hair cut!

Playing in the straw

He loves his Uncle Boo. (I think Uncle Boo is a bit fond of him, too, although he wouldn't admit it!)

I think this is hilarious. He had doritos and a container of cherry tomatoes for dinner.

Off to school!

Grayson attends a Mother's Day Out Early Learning program on Thursdays.  It was a real challenge to get him to go for a while. Every week I would struggle with dropping him off and him crying. I stuck with it, and I'm so glad I did.
He absolutely loves going to school now!  He's excited, he's smiling, he is an eager beaver to go.

Here is he this morning with his backpack and lunchbox all ready for school!

Playing in the leaves

Grayson and I spent some of the afternoon playing in a big pile of leaves.
I love this time of year.

King of the Leaves!

Leaf fight!

In Jack news, the past two weeks have been crazy for him.He is crawling, pulling himself up on everything, is getting TWO teeth, and has started saying "mama." Whew!

More pictures!

These turned out so good! What's even better - it was FREE!!!

These are actually pictures that I took with my iphone of the actual prints, so the quality on here appears poor, but it's not! They're super cute! (Yes, I know that Grayson is wearing the same shirt in both sets of pictures! I didn't plan it that way, it's just how it worked out.)

Some Fall Photos

Yesterday, it was a beautiful day and both boys were in halfway decent moods, so I decided to try to get some fall pictures.
Here are few of the more decent ones.

Columbus Belmont Civil War Days 2010

This weekend we loaded up and drove to Columbus Belmont State Park to visit their annual Civil War Days Encampment.  I had never been to a reenactment, and was excited to go. I was really eager to see Grayson's reaction to everything.

Dad and his boys. Grayson would not put down the big cup of lemonade.

Me and Grayson.

Me and Grayson in front of the Mississipi. Of course, he is being obtuse and not looking at the camera.

I finally had to hold him down to get a decent picture!

Part of the reenactment.

We had a great time! I'm glad we got to go. Hopefully we can go again next year.

Here and there

The fall weather doesn't slow us down! We've still been busy with lots of outdoor activities. The summer was so hot for us, we didn't get much of a chance to be outside. We welcome the cooler weather!

Camerson, Grayson and Cameron at E-Pa's work picnic horsing around.

I can't believe they were all still enough for me to take this!

I caught Grayson picking his nose. I told him to stop. He proceeded to use both hands. He's mine through and through. :)

We spent a Sunday afternoon hiking at Lake Hematite in LBL. This would have been a cute picture. However, it is heinous of me because I think at that very moment, a gnat had flew into my eye. Literally - the whole bug. I found him *WHOLE* still in my eye about an hour after this picture was taken. Yuck.

Chris, Jackson, and Grayson right before our 2.5 mile hike.
